if you love Totoro and pancakes you have to try to make these at home, they are super simple to make and came out so cute with the Totoro. If you dont have a Totoro stamp you can still make them lol.
They’re perfect for breakfast, you just need to mix the ingredients and bake without having to worry much about them, you can also freeze the batter and cook them at the moment.

HOW TO MAKE A BLOG LIKE THIS
we made this website with WordPress.org and we got our domain with Bluehost . Since we don’t know a lot about website design we used a template and then we activated everything like they say with 17th avenue (we are using the Mia template) they also install it for you or you can do it yourself.
Ingredients
YOU NEED
- Eggs
- Granulated sugar
- All purpose flour
- Seeds oil (olive oil, sunflower seeds oil, butter..)
- Baking powder or baking soda
- Whole cow milk
Variations in ingredients
Here are some things you could change on this recipe.
1)eggs: instead of using two eggs you could use 1 whole ripe banana, never blend the mixture if you are using it just mash it with the help of a fork.
2)sugar: the use of sugar in recipes is really personal. You can always reduce the quantity, use other sweeteners or salt in case of wanting to make this pancake salty.
3)milk: we are using whole fat cow milk for this recipe, but you can always use vegan drinks instead.
4)oil: extra virgin olive oil for this one because we are healthy (jk lol). You can use any seeds oil you like the most or even butter.
5)baking powder: you could use baking soda instead.
Totoro stamp

Process
Freeze
You can freeze the batter for the pancakes and you can also freeze them after cooking. In the first case you could put them in silicon ice cub trays so then they’re super easy to remove without unfreezing them, or you could also just put it in a Tupperware and unfreeze right a couple hours before cooking, dont microwave it to do this because then it would cook and you would end up having scrambled eggs.
RECIPE in cups and grams
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 eggs
- 110 grams granulated sugar (0.55 cups)
- 250 ml whole fat cow milk (8.45 floz)
- 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 300 grams all purpose flour (2.4 cups)
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
INSTRUCTIONS:
1)First step, eggs
This is how you make Totoro pancakes Crack two eggs, better if you do it in a glass so you can check them, sometimes they are rotten and it’s not really nice when you add the eggs into your batter. Beat the eggs with a whisk.
2)Second step, sugar
Okay this is really important because you want to make sure that you pour the sugar and whisk the eggs at the same time like really fast, if sugar gets in contact with an egg yolk for example it will cook the egg yolk and you would have tons of egg lumps.
3)Third step, liquid.
You want to add milk and oil or if you are using butter, make sure to melt the butter in the microwave.
4)Forth step, sift flour
Sift baking powder and flour with a flour sifter. If you dont have baking powder you can always use baking soda, same quantity.
5)Fifth step, mix mix mix
Make sure to mix everything with a whisk, if you see flour lumps you can always blend the batter until smooth. Make sure to not over mix it or over blend it
6)Sixth step, cooking
Put your non stick pan in your stove, add a couple drops of oil and spread with a paper towel all over the pan. After about 30 seconds, or even less (you need to make sure the pan is not hot but also make sure it’s not cold either).
Cook on low heat, always covering with a lid until you can see like bubbles forming on the pancake.
7)Seventh step, Totoro Pancakes
Flip the pancake and make sure to cook for a couple more minutes, depending on how thick the pancake is, it may take longer or less time. When we cook the pancake we put the Totoro stamp on the flame from the stove so it gets really hot.
8)Eight step, cooking
Make sure the stamp is hot enough, try with a raw potato first and see if it leaves enough trace and then you can try it on the pancakes.
Butter and maple syrup on top and now you have Totoro pancakes
