Perfect for chocolate lovers, this recipe is a must-try for anyone craving a decadent treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 eggs
  • 200 grams brown sugar
  • 300 grams milk chocolate
  • 260 grams melted butter
  • 90 grams all purpose flour
  • 90 grams cocoa powder
  • 50 grams granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 150 grams chocolate chips
  • 50 grams chocolate chunks

Instructions

step one, Melt the Chocolate and Butter

  1. In a pan over low heat, melt the butter until hot. Add the milk chocolate and stir until fully melted. If needed, return the pan to the stove briefly, but don’t let it boil. This step ensures a rich, gooey chocolate base for your brownies. Bowl with melted butter and chocolate, not yet mixed, showing the ingredients for brownies.

step two, Combine Dry Ingredients

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the melted chocolate and butter with the flour, cocoa powder, and ground cinnamon. Mix until well incorporated. This creates the decadent chocolate batter that’s the foundation of your brownies Cocoa powder, flour, and cinnamon added to melted butter and chocolate mixture for fudgy brownies

step three, Whisk Eggs and Sugar

  1. In a separate clean, dry bowl, whisk the eggs, granulated sugar and brown sugar (or panela sugar) until light and fluffy. For best results, use an electric mixer, mix for about 6 to 8 minutes.

  1. Gradually fold the chocolate mixture into the egg mixture in two parts. Use a spatula and fold gently to keep the eggs light and fluffy. This ensures your brownies stay soft and airy. Light and fluffy beaten eggs with brown sugar, ready to be added to brownie batter

step five, Add Chocolate Chips

  1. Fold in 150g of chocolate chips and chocolate chunks for extra melty pockets of chocolate in every bite. This step takes your brownies to the next level of chocolatey goodness. Mixed brownie batter with chocolate chips, ready to be poured into the pan.

step six, Prepare the Baking Pan

  1. Line a 9×9-inch square pan with parchment paper. This prevents sticking and makes it easy to remove the brownies after baking. Pour the batter into the pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Brownie batter in a lined pan, ready to be baked into fudgy brownies

step seven, Bake to Perfection

  1. Preheat your oven to 170°C (340°F). Once hot, bake the brownies for about 40 minutes. To check for doneness, insert a toothpick—it should come out with a few moist crumbs. Remember, don’t overbakeif you want them fudgy and gooey! Brownies nearing the end of baking, almost ready to be taken out of the oven.

step eight, Cool and Slice

  1. Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool completely in the pan. This allows them to set and makes slicing easier. Use a sharp knife to cut them into squares. Baked fudgy brownies sliced into 9 portions, perfect for a rich dessert treat

Notes

— Beat the eggs until light and fluffy: This step is crucial for achieving the perfect texture.

— Add tons of chocolate: For that melty, gooey chocolate in every bite.

— Don’t overcook: To keep them fudgy, take them out of the oven when the center is still slightly soft. They’ll set more as they cool.

— Fold gently: Use a spatula to fold the eggs into the chocolate mixture to maintain their fluffiness.

— Use panela sugar if possible: It adds a unique flavor, but brown sugar works perfectly too.

— Add chocolate chips: Fold them into the batter for extra chocolatey goodness.
