- 120 grams soft butter
- 40 grams brown sugar
- 30 grams granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 150 grams all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Step by step

1)First step, Butter
Start by taking the butter out of the fridge if you didn’t do it before. Let it sit at room temperature until it becomes soft, this usually takes about 30 minutes, soft butter is crucial for creating a creamy texture.
In a mixing bowl, pour the soft butter and work it with the spoon to make sure its soft enough to work with it.
2)Second step, butter with sugar
Pour the brown sugar and granulated sugar to the same bowl where you have the butter. Using an electric mixer or whisk, beat them together on a medium speed until the mixture is light and fluffy.
3)Third step, wet ingredients
If you have vanilla extract add to the mixture about 1/2 a teaspoon for flavor. Then, crack one egg into the mixture. Mix until everything is combined and smooth.
4)Forth step, Dry ingredients
Gradually, add all purpose flour and baking powder to the wet mixture mix until just combined using a spatula, be careful not to over mix as this can make the festive holiday cookies tough.

5)Fifth step, confetti
Pour the holiday baking confetti into a shallow container. Once the dough is ready, use your hands to roll the dough into small ball. Take each cookie ball and gently roll it in the baking confetti until fully coated. This adds a festive touch to your cookies.
