Ferrero Rocher rolls are the ultimate cinnamon roll upgrade for fall. Soft, fluffy, and irresistibly decadent, these rolls are swirled with creamy Nutella, rich chocolate, and plenty of crushed Ferrero Rocher candies.
Each bite delivers layers of hazelnut, chocolate, and buttery pastry that melt in your mouth. They’re cozy, and so dangerously good that once you start, you simply won’t want to stop.

Since I’ve been craving fall desserts, we decided it was time to make Ferrero Rocher cinnamon rolls, the kind of treat that makes your whole kitchen smell like pure happiness. They’re perfect to enjoy with a warm mug of milk (or coffee) while watching Gilmore Girls on a chilly afternoon.
And while they’re ideal for cozy fall baking, they’re just as perfect for Christmas mornings or any festive gathering.

Key Ingredients for Ferrero Rolls
Here is a list of the ingredients you need to make cinnamon roll dough.
- Water:The essential liquid to hydrate and bring your dough together.
- Active Dry Yeast: The magic ingredient that makes your dough rise into soft, fluffy perfection.
- Granulated Sugar: Adds sweetness to the dough while feeding the yeast for a better rise./li>
- Egg: Enriches the dough for a tender, soft crumb. Fun fact: during testing, we cracked open an egg and found a double yolk! Thats why you’ll see three egg yolks in the pictures.
- Butter: Use softened butter so it kneads easily into the dough, giving richness and flavor.
- All-Purpose Flour: The foundation of the dough, providing structure and the perfect texture for rolling.
You might notice the dough quantity in our photos looks generous, that’s because we made a double batch. Stay tuned, because our next recipe will be Hazelnut Nutella Rolls, and trust me, they are just as irresistible.

This recipe makes 4 big, indulgent Ferrero Rocher rolls, perfect for sharing (or not, no judgment here!). We baked ours in a square pan, any you have on hand will work. I used my loved USA Pans, lined with parchment paper so the rolls slide out effortlessly and clean-up is a breeze.
How to Make the Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, granulated sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it rest for about 10 minutes, forget about it and let the yeast do its magic.
You’ll know it’s ready when you see bubbles forming on the surface. If nothing happens, don’t worry, just start again with fresh yeast.

Once the yeast is active, add all-purpose flour, one egg, softened butter, and granulated sugar to the same bowl. Mix until everything comes together, then knead the dough for about 15 minutes until it’s smooth, soft, and elastic.
This long knead helps develop that perfect soft, fluffy texture that makes Ferrero Rocher rolls irresistible.

Transfer the dough to a lightly greased bowl, cover it, and let it proof in a warm environment for 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until it doubles in size. This proofing step is crucial for creating those soft, pillowy Ferrero Rocher rolls we all love.

How to Make the Filling
Flatten the dough using a rolling pin until it’s evenly spread out. Spread a generous layer of Nutella over the surface, then sprinkle on chocolate disks for extra gooey pockets. To finish, chop some Ferrero Rocher chocolates and scatter them over the top for that signature hazelnut crunch.
Next, cut the dough into thick strips and roll each one individually to form your rolls

Assembling the Rolls
Once all the rolls are shaped, arrange them carefully in your prepared square pan lined with parchment paper.
Make sure to leave a little space between each roll, they’ll expand as they bake and you want them to stay soft and pillowy, not squished. If any filling spills over while transferring, don’t worry; that melted chocolate and Nutella only makes the rolls even more irresistible.

Cover the pan with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap and let the rolls proof for another 20–30 minutes while you preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) . This extra rise ensures they’ll bake up soft, fluffy, and perfectly gooey inside.
Baking the Ferrero Rolls
Before baking, pour some heavy whipping cream over the rolls, this helps them stay extra soft and creates a rich, golden finish.

Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 25 minutes, checking at the 20-minute mark to make sure they’re browning evenly.
Once baked, let the rolls cool slightly while you prepare the frosting and decorate. This ensures the rolls are warm but not too hot, so any glaze or toppings stay in place perfectly.

Icing and Finishing touches
For the frosting, start by mixing soft butter and cream cheese with a spatula until smooth and fully combined. Gradually add icing sugar, making sure there are no lumps, then fold in Nutella until the frosting is creamy, silky, and ready to spread.
Generously spread the frosting over the warm Ferrero Rocher rolls. For a finishing touch, pipe thin lines of Nutella over the top and place a whole Ferrero Rocher on each roll. The result is a beautiful, indulgent, and irresistible treat that’s perfect for any fall or holiday morning.

These Ferrero Rocher rolls are packed with all the cozy fall and Christmas vibes, making them perfect for a festive morning treat or a welcoming seasonal dessert.
Soft, gooey, and chocolatey, they’re sure to impress guests, or just make your own breakfast feel extra special. Serve warm with a mug of milk, coffee, or hot chocolate for the ultimate indulgence.

Tips and Tricks for the Perfect Rolls
- Check your yeast. Make sure it’s not expired. Even if it’s within the date, yeast can sometimes lose its potency, so proof it in warm water with a little sugar first to ensure it’s active. Store yeast in a cool, dry place for best results.
- Knead until soft. Keep kneading the dough until it feels smooth, soft, and elastic. This is key for those pillowy, bakery-quality rolls
- Always let the dough rise in a warm environment. Cold spots slow the yeast down and can make the proofing process take much longer.
- Keep Nutella creamy. Don’t melt it to spread; it should be soft and creamy for easy spreading without losing its texture or flavor.
- Adding a little cream over the rolls before they go in the oven helps keep them extra soft and gives a beautiful golden finish.
