Easy recipe with only two ingredients, learn how to make raspberry jam without pectin or gelatin.
We used fresh raspberries for this recipe but you can always use the frozen ones.
This recipe will give you about 2 jars of raspberry jam, we used clean and dry jars from yogurt and honey, you don’t need to buy fancy jars to make jam, just make sure they’re not broken and the lid closes correctly.

Make sure to wash your raspberries and put them in a paper towel to remove all the excess of water. Our raspberries had ants so we had to put them in water and vinegar for a couple minutes to make sure there were no ants left in the fruit. You dont have to do this if you don’t want to, extra protein lol.
HOW TO MAKE A BLOG LIKE THIS
we made this website with WordPress.org and we got our domain with Bluehost . Since we don’t know a lot about website design we used a template and then we activated everything like they say with 17th avenue (we are using the Mia template) they also install it for you or you can do it yourself.
Ingredients
YOU NEED
- Fresh raspberries
- Granulated sugar
Cooking time
So it probably took us longer than what it should take because we didn’t dry the raspberries and we didn’t remove the excess of water that fell into the cooking pot. We also were doing other recipes and didn’t want to ruin the jam by burning it so we cooked it on really low heat.
It’s probably gonna take you about 20 minutes, make sure to stir constantly and make sure to cook it until you have the perfect texture. It depends on how you want it really, to check the consistency of the jam take some of the jam and put it in a cold plate, if you like the consistency then its done and if its too liquid make sure to boil for more time. Repeat this process as many times as you want.
Sterilize jam
- Make sure to use clean and dry jars.
- Fill the jars with jam until the top, the jam has to reach the top of the jar almost touching the lid.
- Make sure you close the jars tightly.
- Use a big pot and put a kitchen towel, then put the jars and cover with water, water should be covering completely the jars.
- Put it in the stove at strong flame or high heat and when it starts boiling set a timer for 40 minutes.
- After this time, you can storage them in a dark place, no need to keep them in the fridge, it can last up to 1 year and a half.
(Picture of the towel so you understand how to do it) this is really important because if you don’t put a clothing thing towel or whatever you wanna use, the jars are gonna break.

More
We used this recipe to make our cheesecake and it turned out amazing 🙂 you can always change the raspberries for strawberries or whatever fruit you prefer. Same food x sugar ratio. 2:1 for 2 kilos of fruit you wanna use 1 kilo of sugar.
If you use too much sugar it’s gonna crystallize and it’s also gonna be way too sweet. Fruits have natural sugars and when you cook the raspberries they’re gonna be already sweet. Sugar is more to preserve to jam for longer time.
