Ingredients

Units Scale

Recipe for a jar full of cookie dough.

  • 120 grams brown butter
  • 40 grams granulated sugar
  • 70 grams brown sugar or panela
  • 1 teaspoon vanila
  • 60 grams milk
  • 150 grams all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tablespoon milk powder (optional)
  • 60 grams chocolate chips (add as many as you like)

Instructions

1)First step, brown butter

  1. To make edible cookie dough, start by making brown butter. In a light colored pan add the necessary butter for this recipe. Allow it to brown on medium low heat stirring constantly to prevent the butter from burning.
  2. After the butter melts you wills see foam forming on the butter and minutes after that the color changes to a beautiful golden brown color. Once it’s ready, allow it to cool down completely.

2)Second step, cook flour

  1. Cook the flour on a clean and super dry pan over medium-low heat. Make sure to stir constantly to prevent the flour from burning. This step should take from 8 to 10 minutes and it will add a delicious nutty flavor to your edible cookie dough.
  2. You will see how the flour has changed to a light brown color and that’s when you know it’s ready. Make sure to not burn it! Add milk powder if you have it and stir, this ingredient is not necessary but it makes this recipe 10 times better.

3)Third step, add sugar

  1. Once the butter is cold enough (room temperature), pour it in a clean and dry bowl and add granulated sugar and brown sugar.

4)Forth step, sugar

  1. You could use a stand mixer for this step to make this edible cookie dough extra fluffy if you have one. Make sure to whisk the butter with the sugars together for about 4 minutes on medium speed using the wire whip attachment. You can use a manual whisk instead.

5)Fifth step, liquid ingredients

  1. If you whisk the sugars for enough time you should have a fluffier batter than the one you see in the picture. But now you can go ahead and add the rest of liquid ingredients, vanilla extract and milk. Mix again until all the ingredients are fully incorporated.

6)Sixth step, dry ingredients

  1. Add the mix of all purpose flour and milk powder to the cookie batter. Adjust this recipe however you like, if it feels to dense you could add more milk until you achieve the perfect consistency to your liking.

7)Seventh step, chocolate chips

  1. This is the consistency i like for my cookie dough, not too dry and not sticky at the same time.
  2. Add as many chocolate chips as you’d like. You can also use chocolate chunks instead, a mix of both or if you don’t like chocolate chips you can leave it without adding any. And its ready to enjoy!
