FAQs
Is this recipe suitable for kids?
Absolutely. This version contains no coffee or alcohol, making it a family-friendly dessert everyone can enjoy.
Can I make Oreo tiramisu ahead of time?
Yes, in fact it tastes even better when made a day in advance. Chilling overnight allows the flavors to develop and the layers to set nicely.

Key Ingredients

Full ingredients and quantities are in the recipe card, this is just a brief explanation of the ingredients.

  1. Mascarpone cheese: Make sure it is at room temperature so itโ€™s easier to work with.
  2. Sugar:This will sweeten the dessert perfectly.
  3. Heavy whipping cream: Use cream with at least 35% fat content. We will only whip it until soft peaks form.
  4. Oreos: They donโ€™t need to be the original Oreo brand, any cookies and cream style will work.
  5. Milk: Used to soak the cookies and layer the tiramisu.
  6. Nutella and white chocolate: For decoration, weโ€™ll use these to create a beautiful pattern on top.

This recipe makes about 10 portions of Oreo tiramisu. We are using an oval pan, but you can use any size or shape of pan you prefer. If you plan on removing the dessert whole from the pan, make sure to use a springform pan for easier release.

How to prepare the Oreo Tiramisu Filling

To prepare the Oreo tiramisu filling, start by softening the mascarpone cheese, make sure itโ€™s at room temperature so it blends smoothly. Work it gently with a spatula in a separate bowl until itโ€™s creamy.

In another bowl, whip the heavy cream with sugar until it forms soft peaks, fluffy but not stiff.

Once thatโ€™s ready, fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture, creating a luscious, airy filling thatโ€™s going to hold this dessert together. Itโ€™s creamy, rich, and the perfect base for layering with cookies and all that Oreo goodness.

How to Assemble an Oreo Tiramisu

To prepare this Oreo tiramisu, begin by briefly soaking the cookies in milk to soften them. Arrange the first layer of cookies neatly on the base of your dish, ensuring full coverage.

Spread half of the mascarpone mixture evenly over the cookie layer, smoothing it out with a spatula.

Repeat the process with a second layer of milk-soaked cookies, followed by the remaining mascarpone cream. Level the top for a clean finish.

The dessert should then be refrigerated for a minimum of eight hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to develop fully and the structure to set properly.

This resting period is essential for achieving the classic creamy texture and well-defined layers.

Once the tiramisu has chilled and set properly, it is ready to be decorated and served.

Best Tips on making this Oreo dessert

  • Always use room temperature mascarpone so it blends smoothly without lumps.
  • Whip the cream only to soft peaks; overwhipping will make the texture grainy.
  • Do not soak the Oreos too long in milk, just a quick dip is enough, otherwise they will fall apart.
  • For best flavor and texture, let the tiramisu chill overnight before serving.
  • When decorating, make sure the Nutella is slightly warm so it spreads easily, and the white chocolate is smooth for clean lines.
FAQs
Do I have to use real Oreo cookies?
Not necessarily. Any chocolate sandwich cookie with a cream filling will work. Just make sure they are sturdy enough to hold up when dipped in milk.
What can I use instead of mascarpone?
Mascarpone is traditional and gives the best texture, but if you cannot find it, you can use cream cheese.

Description

This Oreo Tiramisu is a creamy, no-bake dessert that combines layers of milk-soaked Oreo cookies with a rich mascarpone cream filling. Unlike the traditional Italian version, this recipe is alcohol and coffee free, making it the perfect treat for kids and adults alike. With a smooth texture, indulgent flavor, and a Nutella white chocolate topping, this tiramisu is guaranteed to impress at any gathering.

Ingredients

Oreo Tiramisu Filling:

  • 450 grams mascarpone cheese
  • 230 grams heavy whipping cream 35%
  • 150 grams granulated sugar

Oreo cookies for assembling:

  • 150 grams milk
  • 32 oreo cookies

Decorate:

  • 125 grams Nutella
  • 35 grams white chocolate
  • 1 Oreo

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, soften the mascarpone cheese by working it gently with a spatula until smooth and creamy. Set aside.

  2. In a chilled mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream together with the granulated sugar until soft peaks form.

  3. Fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture in two additions, mixing gently until fully combined and airy. This is your tiramisu filling.

  4. Briefly dip the Oreo cookies in milk, one at a time, and arrange them in a single layer at the base of your chosen dish.

  5. Spread half of the mascarpone filling evenly over the cookies. Smooth the surface with a spatula.

  6. Add another layer of milk-soaked Oreos, followed by the remaining mascarpone filling. Smooth out the top.

  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hours, preferably overnight, so the dessert sets and the flavors fully develop.

  8. Once chilled, spread melted Nutella over the surface. Pipe or drizzle melted white chocolate in thin lines, then drag a knife across in alternating directions to create a decorative pattern.

Notes

  • For easy removal, prepare this recipe in a springform pan.

  • The longer it chills, the better the texture and flavor. Overnight is highly recommended.

  • Any brand of cookies and cream sandwich cookies can be used in place of Oreos.

  • This dessert can be frozen for up to 2 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight before serving.

  • Adjust the sugar amount to taste if your cookies are very sweet.
