You can also make a big batch of rolls and freeze until you are ready to eat them separating all of them into individual rolls so they’re easier to grab each time. I absolutely adore eating them for breakfast or with my tea so whenever they’re needed, they go to the oven for a bit and I eat them.

INGREDIENTS YOU NEED: ( fluffy strawberry rolls)
- Butter: you will need it for the dough, make sure it’s unsalted. This is gonna make the rolls super buttery and soft.
- Milk: we are using whole dairy milk on this recipe
- Fresh yeast: make sure to check if your yeast is fresh, if its expired it wont work.
- Strawberries: use fresh or frozen whatever works better for you. If you want you can change it and use other fruits! All options are welcome when it comes to baking.
- Cream cheese: I’ve actually tried this recipe with cream cheese and mascarpone and they both work amazing, i just use whatever is cheaper at the moment, both delicious options. This is gonna give a cheesecake flavor

It takes about 17 minutes to bake depending on your oven so it’s really important to check it after 15 minutes have passed. I like my rolls to be less soft thats why I normally bake them 20 ish minutes, but it’s up to you and how you rather eat them. Bake at 190 C 374 F
Se tarda unos 17 minutos de cocción dependiendo en tu horno, es súper importante mirarlo a partir de los 15 minutos. A mi me gustan menos suaves y mas crujientes por eso los suelo dejar unos 20 minutos. Cocínalos a 190 C o 374 F
TIPS on how to make fluffy strawberry rolls
- Cut the rolls with floss, you will have a cleaner cut.
- Take your butter out of the fridge at least one hour before making the rolls so its soft when kneading the dough
- Put the roll on the fridge 10 minutes before cutting it.

INGREDIENTS: (ingredientes)
Dough [masa]
- 2 + 1/2 cups (314 grams) All purpose flour ‘314 gramos harina de todo uso’
- 3 1/2 tbsp (50 grams) soft butter ‘50 gramos mantequilla pomada’
- 1 tbsp (13 grams) fresh yeast ‘13 gramos levadura fresca’
- 1/4 cup (60 grams) granulated sugar ‘60 gramos azúcar blanco’
- 1/4 cup (125 grams) milk ‘125 gramos de leche’
- 1 egg ‘1 huevo’
- Anise seeds ‘semillas de anis’
Egg wash: [huevo para pintar]
- 1 egg ‘1 huevo’
Filling: [relleno]
- 1 cup (250 grams) cream cheese ‘250 gramos de queso crema’
- 10 strawberries ‘10 fresas’
- 4 tbsp granulated sugar ‘4 cucharadas de azúcar’
INSTRUCTIONS:
- First of all you’re gonna put the milk to boil on a pan with anise seeds. When it reaches to a boiling point turn off the stove and cover it with plastic wrap for 5 minutes. Place a colander or strainer in the bowl and pour the milk. We need to make sure none of the anise seeds get through the strainer.
Primero vas a echar la leche en un cazo o olla para hervir junto con las semillas de anis, cuando empiece a hervir quítalo del fuego y tápalo con film por unos 5 minutos. Pon un colador en un bol y vierte la leche. Asegúrate que no caigan semillas dentro.
2. Add the flour, granulated sugar, fresh yeast, soft butter, egg and milk to a stand mixer bowl. Using the dough hook attachment knead at medium speed for about 20 minutes,
Añade la harina, el azúcar granulado, la levadura fresca, la mantequilla pomada, el huevo y la leche. Utiliza el gancho de masa para amasar a velocidad media por unos 20 minutos.
3. You can place your dough into a slightly oiled bowl or in a towel inside of a bowl and cover with plastic wrap, whatever works better for you. Allow the dough to proof for about 1h and 30 minutes in a warm place. Meanwhile you can chop the strawberries and save in a small bowl for later.
Ahora puedes poner la masa en un bowl con un poco de aceite por los lados, nosotros lo pusimos en un bol con una toalla pero te ira mejor de la Otra manera así no se seca nada. Tápalo con film a piel. Déjalo reposar 1h y 30 minutos en un lugar que este caliente, templado. De mientras puedes cortar las fresas y dejarlas en un bol en la nevera para usar mas tarde.
4. This is what the dough should look like, super huge. Now on a floured surface roll out the dough.
Así es como se debería ver la masa, ponla en una superficie enharinada y estríala con la ayuda de un rodillo.
5. Work the cream cheese with a spoon in a bowl and spread it through the dough make sure you have the cream on all the edges, add the chopped strawberries and granulated sugar on top.
Trabaja el queso crema en un bol con una cuchara y úntalo por la masa, que llegue por todas las puntas. Añade las fresas cortadas y el Azúcar esparcido por arriba.
6. Now roll the dough tightly making sure to keep all the filling inside. We are leaving the roll on the fridge for 10 minutes before cutting it with the floss so we make sure the strawberries and cheese are not so loose (? If that’s the correct word lol) and we can make clean cuts and it’s gonna be looking so much better
Ahora enrolla la masa asegurándote de que todo el relleno se quede dentro intacto. Ahora vamos a dejarlo en la nevera por unos 10 minutos antes de cortarlo con el hilo dental así nos aseguramos de que las fresas y el queso crema no estén muy sueltos o desechos y se puedan hacer cortes bonitos.
7. Cut the rolls with the help of the floss. You are gonna be having around 8 rolls (we used some of the dough from this recipe for another roll style that’s why you’re seeing only 7 here).
Cut parchment paper in the shape of the bottom of the pan you can use and place the rolls there carefully making sure they don’t get destroyed pls
Corta los rollitos con la ayuda de hilo dental . Vas a tener unos 8 rolls (nosotras usamos parte de la masa de esta receta para Otro tipo de rollitos por eso solo ves 7 aquí)
Corta en papel de hornear en la medida de la base de la olla de hierro o bandeja de horno que utilices. Coloca los rollos con cuidado de que no se desmoronen mucho.
8. Allow them to proof on a warm place for about 25 minutes covering them with plastic wrap. Beat one egg and with a brush spread it all over the dough. Bake at 190 C or 374 F for 17 minutes.
Deja que reposen en un lugar cálido por unos 25 minutos cubriéndolos con film. Bate un huevo y con un pincel pinta todos los rollos. Cocina a 190 C o 374 F por 17 minutos
9. And you are done hehe you can put some strawberries on top to decorate and sugar pearls and you can eat them.
Y ya estaría ahora puedes poner fresas por encima y azúcar perlado y ya están listos para comer.

- 1 egg

- 1 Cup cream cheese (250 grams)
- 10 strawberries
- 4 Tbsp granulated sugar
Instructions
dough
- Boil the milk and anise seeds.
- after boiling turn off the stove and cover it with plastic wrap for about 5 minutes. Strain the milk making sure no seeds fall into the liquid.
- add flour, butter, milk, egg, fresh yeast, sugar in the stand mixer bowl
- knead with the dough hook attachment for about 20 minutes
- allow the dough to proof 1h 30 minutes in a warm place making sure its covered with plastic wrap.
filling
- Cut the strawberries and save them for later on the fridge.
- roll out the dough in a floured surface. Work with a spoon the cream cheese and spread it all over the dough, adding the chopped strawberries on top and sugar
- roll the dough tightly making sure the filling stays inside. Leave it on the fridge for 10 minutes.
- cut it into 8 rolls using floss. Place them in a baking pan or whatever you want to bake.
- allow it to proof for 25 minutes covered with plastic wrap

- paint the rolls with the egg
