This recipe will give you about 6 portions of tiramisu but it really depends on the size of the pan you are using, can’t really tell the size of mine because our parents bought it like 30 years ago (maybe im overreacting but i was not born when this was bought, so its probably 20 + years old.

Tiramisu
Today we are making a traditional tiramisu but you can make so many variations of it, you can add whatever you want and change ingredients you don’t like. Here some options if you want to change the traditional version to a more different one.
Strawberry tiramisu, lemon, pistachio, chocolate, banana, you could even make one with roses.
This dessert is perfect to eat cold and it will be so much better if you let it set in the fridge for at least one night, even though is not necessary. You can change the mascarpone for heavy whipped cream or you can make 1/2 and 1/2. My favorite one is just the traditional, where you only use mascarpone, it will be creamier and tastier
eggs
Okay hear me out, my sister and i, both are the type of persona that when in a recipe they tell you to only put egg whites or only egg yolks, we add a whole egg. Why you may ask..Let’s say you use only egg yolks for this recipe, 6. What do you do with the egg whites? Because I don’t want to eat an egg white omelette, in the nicest way possible, it’s not even good. But i also understand that so many people doesn’t feel comfortable eating raw whole egg.
The recipe for this traditional tiramisu requires to use 4 entire eggs, but if you want, you can use 6 egg yolks instead. It will turn out amazing, i could say even better.
Finishing
You should be covering the tiramisu with a thin layer of unsweetened cocoa powder, this will give this traditional tiramisu the perfect contrast and it will be simply delicious. This is the last step of all and it should be done right before eating it.
Process
No oven
You don’t need to use an oven for this recipe, unless you want to make the ladyfingers, they’re literally the easiest thing to do but we are on a lazy mode, that’s why we got store-bought ones.
We will share one day the recipe on how to make them if we ever feel like doing extra recipes, it may not be soon, honestly.
You can freeze this tiramisu, better if you keep it in a Tupperware. I don’t recommend using plastic wrap to cover it because it would be kinda messy and you can leave traces of plastic in the dessert. But do whatever u want okay.
RECIPE in cups and grams
INGREDIENTS:
- 360 grams of mascarpone cheese (1.6 cups)
- 160 grams of granulated sugar ( 0.8 cups)
- 4 eggs or 6 eg yolks
- 26. Ladyfingers
- 4 tablespoons Cocoa powder
- Coffee
INSTRUCTIONS:
1)First step, coffee
I always like to start first with the coffee so it sets and it’s cold. You should know how to make coffee because i don’t, our dad had to make it because we didn’t wanna burn the whole house, im sure you can find yourself a tutorial on YouTube, but who doesn’t know how to do that, right. Just make a bunch of it
2)Second step, eggs
You want to beat the eggs with a whisk or even an electric one, don’t stop okay. You want to see them to the top of the bowl and check the color of the picture. It’s gonna be looking yellow-ish but so much lighter, the whisk should start leaving a mark on the eggs, at this point you want to add in the sugar and keep whisking until they turn a whiter color.
3)Third step, mascarpone
Work the mascarpone with a spoon, whisk or spatula until you feel it so much softer, this will prevent lumps and also it will make it easier to later mix with the eggs without them starting to become loose.
4)Forth step, mix
Make sure to do this step really carefully, because we don’t want to ruin the eggs. Add 1/3 part of the eggs to the mascarpone cheese, mix carefully with the help of a spatula. Now you want to repeat the Same process 2 more times. Even if you see a whisk on the pictures, we used a spatula on this!
5)Fifth step, coffee
Dip the ladyfingers into the now cold coffee, until you see them soaked and put them in the base of whatever pan or glass thing you are using to start making the tiramisu. Don’t dip them at the same time.
6)Sixth step, build the perfect tiramisu
This is the best part of all, you start with the ladyfingers soaked in coffee, when you have the whole base covered, add 1/2 of the mascarpone mix on top and spread it evenly. Now you repeat the process another time, mascarpone mix should stay on top okay. Make the top part really smooth!
7)Seventh step, refrigerate
You should leave the traditional tiramisu on the fridge for at least 4 hours, allow it to set and it should be perfect if you leave it all night on the fridge. We left it overnight and it became perfect.
8)Eight step, Decorate
Cover all the traditional tiramisu with cocoa powder, using a strainer for a prettier finish.
